CANDLEHOLDERS GIFT HAMPER - STANDARD

NEW & EXCLUSIVE Handmade Ceramic Candleholders

As is tradition, we commissioned friend and ceramicist Nichola Gensler to create a new unique set of candleholders for the season. We create a limited run each year, so this truly is a wonderfully unique handcrafted gift.

This year, we are delighted to present New: Copper.

Working from her studio in Sheffield, Nichola included a locally sourced wild clay in this year's candleholders. Both the clay body and the shino glaze contain this element. The beautiful surface effect was achieved by spraying with discarded wood ash (from her local pizza restaurant). The candleholders are fired in a gas kiln, in a reduction atmosphere which turns the iron in the glaze red/orange where it is thinnest and whiter where it is thicker. There is also a light shimmering that occurs where the wood ash is sprayed. 

No two are exactly the same, which is just how they were intended. 

Highly unique due to their individual glaze process, we have two size options to choose from; Standard and Stumpy.

We've paired them up with a set of our pure British Beeswax Candles, presented in our branded gift hamper. Naturally scented and purifying our 100% pure beeswax candles are made using British beeswax from our own hives, and are hand-dipped using traditional methods. We think we may have created the perfect gift.
